a brief history

Genevieve has been covering the beauty market for more than twenty years. She has reported on hair, skin, makeup, nails—and more—for every conceivable audience, from fashionista to fitness fanatic to busy mom to precocious preteen. She is currently a freelance writer and editor. Previously, she was Beauty Director at More, Beauty Director at Shape, Deputy Beauty Director at Marie Claire, Beauty Director at CosmoGirl, Associate Beauty Editor at Redbook, and Interim Beauty Director at ELLE. She has also written for Real Simple, InStyle, ELLE, Health, Women's Health, Parents, Shape, and Better Homes and Gardens.

In addition to writing and editing, Genevieve has appeared as a beauty expert on a variety of television shows, including Today, Later Today, CBS This Morning and FOX News.

After nearly two decades in New York City, Genevieve relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she lives with her husband, son and Miniature Schnauzer, Rocco.
